Providing Expert Advice for Sustainable Cookstove Programs Throughout Africa & Haiti

Since launching operations in 2006, Lifeline has demonstrated its expertise in addressing market failures associated with clean cooking, including limited consumer awareness, cost and complexity of last mile distribution, absence of quality standards, insufficient R&D investments and regulatory constraints.

By virtue of this experience, Lifeline has become the “go-to” implementing agency for base-of-the-pyramid FES products and has been tapped by UN agencies and other non-profit organizations seeking to provide technical support for their training and stove distribution programs, particularly within post-conflict settings.  Among the organizations that have sought Lifeline’s assistance are UNHCR, the World Food Program, CARE International, Save the Children and Medecin San Frontiers.
