Russell joined Lifeline in 2022 with over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations. Most recently, Russell was the VP of Finance and Administration at a venture capital fund focused on biotechnology development and prior to that, he was COO of an India focused hedge fund. Russell spent five years leading accounting and fund operations teams within several divisions of JP Morgan and earlier in his career, he held accounting roles at UBS Fund Services, Cantor Fitzgerald, Coutts NatWest, and Outokumpu. Russell has in-depth expertise in a full range of financial accounting and operational functions, including process improvement, reducing operational risk, and enhancing profitability. His expertise has been gained through extensive international experience, having worked in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. Russell currently serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of Citrine Angels, a group providing early-stage investment opportunities and education to female investors in the Washington D.C. metro area. Russell is a CPA and earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Murdoch University and his M.B.A. in international business from Deakin University.
