Women are the economic engines of village life in rural Africa. But their potential is untapped. They spend most of their day fetching water, foraging for wood and cooking for their families.
Lifeline’s “Change Her Day” campaign seeks to free up that wasted time. Your support will help us ensure that rural Ugandan women have access to fresh-water wells that are close by their homes and to fuel-saving stoves that cut the amount of wood needed for cooking in half. With that extra time, women can invest in productive activities like education, farming and micro-entrepreneurship.
Donate today and change the way rural women spend their days. And, in so doing, help them break the cycle of poverty in which they live.
